What is your Cancellation Policy?

  • Our rooms are usually ready for occupation by noon, so this time will be deemed to be the cut-off point for any cancellations.  (example - two rooms with scheduled arrival on a Monday should be cancelled before noon on the previous Friday to avoid any potential charges)

 

  • You should advise any cancellation, postponement or partial cancellation to the Hotel management in the first instance verbally, and then in writing by You.

 

  • In all cases, the Hotel will try to re-let the accommodation, and any income received from the re-let rooms will be fully deducted from the cancellation charge. If the re-letting of the accommodation does not fully cover the cancellation charge, an account for the remaining amount will be sent to You immediately after the last scheduled day of the cancelled accommodation.

 

  • So as to be fair to You, the Hotel applies a percentage to its cancellation charges. These are 90% of all contracted accommodation revenue including room hire, and 65% of all contracted food and beverage revenue, being our loss of profit.

 

Cancellation by the Hotel:

 

The Hotel may cancel the booking at any time and without any obligation to You in any of the following circumstances:

 

  • If the Hotel or any part of the Hotel is closed due to circumstances beyond the Hotel’s control.

 

  • If You fail to meet the deposit terms required with the booking.

 

  • If You have exceeded any agreed credit facilities with the Hotel.

 

  • If the Hotel in its sole discretion believes the booking might prejudice the reputation of the Hotel.

 

Cancellation of bookings made on the Internet:

 

All bookings made on the Internet are subject to the terms and conditions of the booking site through which the reservation was made.

Do you have a car park?

Yes, we have a car park at the rear for about eight cars. There are no parking restrictions in The Market Place or surrounding streets.

What time can we check in/out?

Rooms are ready from about 1300 hours; if you need access to your room before that time, please advise us at the time of booking and we will endeavour to have your room ready earlier. Check-out is 1100 hours.

What are meal times?

We're on Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, can we have a bar meal instead?

You have the full daily food allowance of the evening meal (currently £25.00), whether you decide to eat in the Restaurant or take a bar meal.

Do you accept animals?

Only Seeing/Hearing dogs for the visually/aurally impaired.

How long does it take to get to ............?

Thirsk 15 minutes, York 20 minutes, Ripon 25 minutes, Helmsley 30 minutes, Pickering 45 minutes, Whitby 75 minutes

How does the York Park and Ride work?

There is a frequent service from Rawcliffe Bar (Northern Ring Road/A19 junction) stopping at The National Railway Museum, Museum Gardens and City Centre. Car parking is free and the current cost is £2.00 per adult.

Is there a frequent bus service from Easingwold to York?

There are several companies that operate the services betwen York and Easingwold. The buses are most frequent between 0800-1000 and 1500-1800. (Stephensons 01347 838990, Reliance 01904768262, Hutchinsons 07966 206233)

Can you organise a taxi for us?
